BOWEN Group partners with local businesses to donate 1,500 holiday meals to Calgary shelters

Calgary, Alberta (December 14, 2020) – BOWEN Group announced today that it is partnering with Joey’s Seafood Restaurant and the Oasis Wellness Centre & Spa to donate holiday dinners via “Help for the Holidays” campaign led by the Calgary Homeless Foundation.

A total of 1,500 meals will be distributed to local shelters including the Mustard Seed, the Drop In Center, the Salvation Army, Alpha House, Trellis, Inn From the Cold and the Children’s Cottage Society.

“2020 has been an incredibly difficult year for so many Calgarians, so it is with gratitude that BOWEN Group is supporting our community during this Holiday Season,” says Shannon Bowen-Smed, CEO. “Charitable organizations in our city serve a vital role in protecting those most vulnerable. As everyone continues to fight through this pandemic, we are proud to help make this Holiday Season a little warmer and lot brighter for so many that need our support. In addition to providing warm holiday meals, BOWEN Group is inviting others in the community to make additional donations to purchase outdoor clothing to help keep people warm throughout the winter. A $20.00 donation to the “Help for the Holidays” campaign will give someone socks, gloves and a winter hat.
